There is a well known quote that goes something like this: “ The happiest individuals do not have the best of everything; they merely make the very best of everything they have already.” You will find a greater sense of happiness if you count your blessings rather than wishing for what you do not posses.

3.  Don't sweat the small stuff.

Joyful individuals ask themselves, “Will this issue matter 12 months from today?” They are aware that life is way too short to become excited over insignificant problems. Allowing issues to roll off your back will surely place you at ease to experience the more significant things in life.

4. Never ever create excuses.

Benjamin Franklin once stated, “the man that is great for creating excuses is rarely great for anything else.” joyful men and women never make excuses or pin the blame on other people for their personal failures. Rather, they acknowledge their errors and, in so doing, they positively attempt to transform for the better.

5. Address everyone else with kindness.
